We invite all youth in the 9th -12th grade interested in being part of our 2011 Confirmation Class to an orientation meeting on Sunday, September 26 at 11:30 am in the Upper Room.
Confirmation is an important step in your involvement in your church, as it is the rite of passage to being considered an adult member. During the year long Confirmation program, we will talk together about our beliefs and what being a follower of Jesus Christ might mean in your life. There will be activities and field trips and perhaps an overnight retreat. It will be a great experience, that will help you answer questions about your faith and discover ways for your life to make a difference in the world, too.
If you participate in the program, you will also be developing a relationship with a Mentor - an adult from our church that you will be discussing religion and your place in the church in the months ahead. You may have a particular person that you would like to be your mentor during the year--or you may ask to be assigned one of our church members who is ready to serve as a mentor.
