New Year's Resolution - Stewardship
Thank you to all of our members and friends who have responded to the Stewardship Campaign for 2011, “Building God’s Family”. For those who have not committed monetarily to the church, we need your pledges and commitments more than ever. Our Annual Stewardship campaign provides funds to operate your church, to keep our -programs and facilities running, and to provide the foundation for our worship, fellowship and service to others.
The Stewardship Committee and Trustees will now be following up with those of you who have not yet responded. Please add Stewardship to your New Years' Resolutions if DRCC is a part of your life - and we hope it is!
Is our stewardship theme "Building God's Family" a place in your life as a Christian? As we discuss what this means in our daily lives, please be open to God's word and the importance of our mission to ourselves and our community. Listen for what speaks to you and consider what financial and other contributions you can make. This will be a recurrent and necessary theme for all 2011 as we move forward with our vision for DRCC.
As of January 16th, we have received [165] promises/pledges totaling $[185,711] (this includes $1896 promised by our youth) and still have a way to go to our goal of $225,958. That is the bad news. The good news is that we have not heard from many of you, so please respond at your earliest opportunity.

Please prayerfully consider and discern how each of us can give of ourselves and our resources in gratitude to God and with the result that we will be truly enriched individually and as a community by the giving.

The Stewardship Committee is a Standing Committee on Church Council. "There shall be a Stewardship Committee consisting of five (5) members. Each member shall serve a two-year term. No more than three members shall be elected annually, unless a vacancy on the Board is being filled. It shall be the responsibility of this Committee to encourage the congregaton in its stewardship responsibilities and to conduct an annual stewardship campaign". (By-Laws of DRCC, 9/2002) Current Members of the Committee are:
